From Scroll to Session: Crafting an Engaging Social Media Design for an Online Therapy App

In the fast-paced digital era, the need for accessible and convenient mental healthcare has become increasingly evident. Our client, an innovative online therapy app, aimed to bridge the gap between therapists and patients, providing a platform for effective therapy sessions through online video calls. As the app’s design partner, our primary objective was to create a compelling digital identity that would not only attract and engage the target audience but also build trust and establish a strong connection, particularly with the tech-savvy Z generation.
Outcome
The app’s revamped digital identity proved to be a resounding success, exceeding expectations and making a substantial impact. With over 9 million social media impressions, the app experienced a surge in downloads, reaching a significant milestone of 100,000 app installations. Moreover, the app’s social media following quickly grew to 20,000 engaged and enthusiastic followers, indicating a strong connection with the target audience.

To accomplish these goals, we embarked on an iterative design process that incorporated extensive research and a bold, modern design approach. We began by delving into the world of social media, studying current trends and user behaviors. This informed our decision to adopt a captivating neon color palette and bold design elements that would instantly grab attention in a crowded digital landscape.
Paying close attention to colors, typography, illustrations, and icons. The neon color palette, with its vibrant and energetic hues, served as the primary attention-grabbing element. Complemented by a combination of sleek and bold typography, the digital identity exuded a contemporary feel that resonated with the Z generation.
With the goal of capturing social media users’ attention, we employed a unique and impactful brutalist design approach. The combination of bold neon colors, dynamic illustrations, and striking icons created an unmistakable visual presence for the app. This approach not only helped the app stand out but also conveyed a sense of modernity and innovation.
